My Mission

 My mission is to get students to discover and to understand a piece of writing, and then to evaluate the text in order to carefully reflect and analyze it. I bring to students a variety of tools to strengthen focus and calm that supports effective reading and writing. My approach promotes students who increasingly gain confidence and competence at all educational levels. 

Excellent writing follows when students are able to make their own argument in a paper and support it from their close reading of the text. This is a skill that will go beyond their tutoring session with me because they are being trained to become dynamic “critical” thinkers, readers, and writers who can look at any given topic with the goal of analysis.
